(Centre Hastings, ON) – On April 1, 2014 the Central Hastings Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched an investigation into a report of a sexual assault relating to historical incidents that occurred in the Municipality of Centre Hastings.
On April 16, 2014 investigators charged 72 year old Richard Murray BRENNEN of Thomasburg, ON with Sexual Assault and Sexual Interference With a Person Under 16 Years of Age contrary to the Criminal Code. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing today at Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville.
