(CALEDON, ON)- On April 15, 2014 shortly after 12:15 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an alarm at a Cranston Drive residence. Upon arrival, officers immediately located damage to the front door.
Investigation revealed that the suspect(s) gained entry into the residence through the front door. Once inside, the suspect(s) ransacked several rooms and stole a brown mahogany jewelry box with contents.
Witnesses in the area report seeing a dark-coloured BMW in the area at the time of the break and enter. Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
