Assault

On Friday afternoon the police were called to attend a Weymouth Rd. residence in regards to a family dispute. Upon arrival the officers were advised that a 17 year old male had assaulted his 55 year old mother. Investigation revealed that a verbal dispute over the son’s behaviour had sparked the incident which could have been much worse except that an older brother intervened. The mother sustained minor injuries. The 17 year old accused was arrested and taken to the police station for further investigation. He will be charged with assault.
