(CALEDON, ON) – On April 19th, 2014 shortly before midnight, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were patrolling in the Village of Bolton. Officers were approached by a concerned motorist stating that he had observed a possible impaired driver ahead of the marked cruiser. Officers conducted a vehicle stop on Regional Road 50 south of Healey Road to check on the driver’s sobriety. The officers immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The driver was arrested and transported to Detachment for testing.
Once at Detachment, the male failed to provide a suitable sample of his breath to the officers.
As a result of the traffic stop, Glenn C. CABRERA, 37, of Etobicoke was arrested and charged with Driving while Ability Impaired and Fail to Provide Sample of Breath.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 8, 2014.
