(TEMAGAMI, ON) A member of the Temagami Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting traffic enforcement on April 18, 2014 at approximately 5:00 p.m. Police stopped a southbound pick-up truck on Highway 11 for speeding and further investigation resulted in several charges.
John Paul GEORGE 36, of Englehart is charged for Driving While Disqualified – section 259(4) of the Criminal Code, Possession of Cannabis Marihuana – section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Speeding – section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act, and Fail to stop on right for emergency vehicle – section 159(1)(a) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Haileybury on June 10, 2014.
