(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police was called to investigate a theft of two rabbits from a barn on Road 64 which occurred between 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on April 20, 2014.
The rabbits which were purchased as gifts for the owners grandchildren were discovered missing and a police investigation commenced.
It was discovered that two female suspects aged 11 and 9 years old from Ingersoll had stolen the rabbits and were trying to sell them.
Both suspects were cautioned and warned in front of their parents. The rabbits were reunited with the owner. The owners two grandchildren, ages 6 and 3, were quite happy to receive their Easter gifts.
