RASH OF THEFTS IN ODESSA

(ODESSA, ON)-The Loyalist Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to several theft occurrences over the Easter weekend.

Several homeowners reported their unlocked sheds/garages entered overnight. Also several unlocked vehicles were entered and items were stolen.

A woman on Old Wilton Road reported her purse stolen from her vehicle. A resident on Factory Street had his tool box stolen, tools, and a compression tester taken from his garage. A resident on Centre Street had tools taken from his garage as well as two bicycles.

Investigators believe that many more vehicles and garages were likely entered and encourage homeowners to check their property to ensure that they are not victims of theft. If you discover items stolen please contact police.

OPP would also ask that citizens “Lock it or Lose it”. Locking your vehicle doors discourages theft of contents of your vehicle. Please don’t leave valuables (cell phones, electronics, wallets, purses, etc.) in the vehicle.

Detectives with the Napanee OPP would like to hear from anyone who has information in relation to these thefts. If you wish to remain anonymous please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at tipsubmit.com.
