Date: Wednesday, April 23, 2014 – 10:00pm
At approximately 10pm, Barrie Police were called to the intersection of Huronia Rd and Big Bay Point for a two car accident.
An east bound vehicle failed to stop for a red light on Big Bay Point Rd and drove into a vehicle northbound on Huronia Rd.
The accident appeared very serious and Barrie Fire were required to extricate a driver from his vehicle.
It was very fortunate there were no serious injuries to either driver or passengers.
A 22 year old female has been charged with careless driving.
