Thieves Steal Chainsaws

(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating a break, enter and theft that occurred at a farm on Brandon Road near Ethel. Sometime overnight and into the morning of April 18, 2014 unknown persons entered the insecure barn and attempted to steal an ATV that was parked inside. They stole the key from the ATV however a large tractor blocking the entrance prevented the theft of the machine. They were successful in stealing two STIHL brand name chainsaws. One was a model 250 (25 cc engine) and the other was a model 362 with a 60 cc engine. Both of the chainsaws had orange cases and blade covers.

The replacement value of the stolen items is approximately $700.
