FALSE NAME PROVIDED TO OPP OFFICERS

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On April 26, 2014 at approximately 1:43 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were patrolling Palmerston and observed a male walking along Albert Street. The officers believed that he looked similar to a male wanted by police. They went to talk with the man and he fled the area but was located a short distance away. During the investigation, a false name was provided and suspected marihuana was seized. An arrest was made and it was discovered that he was not following a court order. The male was transported to the North Wellington Operations Centre in Teviotdale.

Anthony CUDNEY age 35 of Wellington North Township is charged with;

-Obstruct Police Officer- Criminal Code (C.C.)

-Fail to Comply with Recognizance- C.C.

-Possession of Marihuana Under 30 grams – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

He was held for a bail hearing in Guelph
