(South Huron, ON) – The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) of South Huron has contracted a Provincial Offences Officer to patrol the McNaughton-Morrison trail in South Huron for violations related to prohibited activities on the trail. Some trail users have been charged for violations, usually related to pets not being kept on a leash. The rules of the trails are clearly marked at the entrance points and those who choose to disregard the rules run the risk of getting a ticket. The single most common complaint heard at the ABCA is related to dogs. In some cases people have been attacked by dogs that have been running at large.
The trail system is for all to use and it’s the responsibility of all the users to ensure that it is a safe place for everyone.
