(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) At approximately 9 p.m. on Friday June 03, 2011, a Perth County OPP officer locked fast moving car in on radar while it was driving south bound on Road 163 north of Ranoch. The registered speed was 150 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

The 24 year old male driver from Thorndale was given a summons to court for the racing offence and was administered a road side breath test which resulted in a 3 day suspension.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the “racing” offence and he will be answering to this charge in Stratford court on July 26, 2011. In addition his drivers licence was seized for three days due to his blood alcohol concentration which registered from .05 to .08 on the roadside breath test instrument.
