MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Friday July 08, 2011 shortly after 1 a.m., an OPP officer on patrol on Davidson Ave. North in Listowel heard a motor vehicle being driven in an aggressive manner. The officer spotted the vehicle, a GMC pickup truck and after pulling it over spoke to the driver.
The officer detected the odour of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath and subsequently administered a road side breath test. The driver failed this test and was transported to the Palmerston OPP Detachment where he also failed Intoxilyzer breath tests.
Justin Koehler (24) of the Municipality of North Perth was charged with operation of a motor vehicle with over 80 mgs. of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He is set to appear in Listowel Provincial Court on August 17, 2011 to answer this charge. He was also served a 90 day drivers licence suspension and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
