(LAMBTON, ON) Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were kept busy over the last weekend of June 2014 which saw almost 280 calls for service.
Approximately 70 liquor investigations and charges lead the way with at least 50 of those charges in Grand Bend.
Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) programs were conducted throughout the county with OPP officers checking approximately 500 cars. Those checks, fortunately, resulted in no drinking and driving charges.
Thirteen alarm and 911 hang-up calls, along with suspicious persons and suspicious vehicles, disputes and disturbances, were some of the other calls that further kept OPP officers busy.
