(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On June 29, 2014 at approximately 6:25 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a two-motor vehicle collision on Wellington Road 6 near Highway 89 in the Town of Minto.
Investigation revealed that a 2000 Chrysler Neon was northbound on Wellington Road 6 when the driver lost control and struck a southbound 2004 Toyota Rav 4.
Officers spoke with the driver of the Chrysler and determined that he had been drinking. He was administered a Roadside Screening Device test which resulted in a fail.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
Jorden SCHOPE aged 26 of Hanover has been charged with Over 80 MGS contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on July 25, 2014 to answer to the charges.
