(Brockville, ON) – On July 1, 2014, at approximately 2:00 PM members of the Leeds County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a diver in distress on the St. Lawrence River, 5km west of Brockville (Brockville Narrows) near Hudson Point Road, Elizabethtown, ON.
The OPP Marine Unit attended and assisted in removing the diver from the water. She was transported to hospital where 48-year-old Luciene PERRI of Mississauga was pronounced deceased.
A post mortem examination was scheduled for today.
The investigation is continuing.
