(Kemptville, ON.) – North Grenville Ontario Provincial Police have charged a local man with several offences related to an incident involving a dirt bike.
During the evening of June 30th at approximately 11:20 p.m., Police observed a person on a dirt bike parked behind the gas pumps at the Oxford Mills General Store. As the officer approached the individual, the dirt bike fled at a high rate of speed from the scene. The officer until the dirt bike was located on its side in a ditch on Bolton Road, North Grenville.
The driver was arrested at the scene for dangerous driving and flight from police.
Joshua John Michael Powell, age 24 of North Grenville is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight while being pursued by a police office, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, driving while under suspension and failing to stop at a stop sign.
