(COLLINGWOOD, ON) The Crime Unit of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has recently charged a local man as a result of an investigation into historical sexual assaults. The incidents are alleged to have taken place between 1965 and 1979.
As a result of this investigation, 69 year-old Ronald CURRIE of Collingwood was arrested on June 26th, 2014. He stands charged with four counts of gross indecency and four counts of indecent assault on a female. He was held for bail court in Barrie as a result of the arrest. He has since been released and is on conditions ordered by the court pending his future court appearances.
