(MORRIS-TURNBERRY, ON) – An impaired driver has been charged after a two vehicle collision. Just before 1:30 a.m. on July 6, 2014 Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to the collision scene located on St. Michael’s Road at Clyde Line.
OPP officers arrived and were able to determine the driver of Ford F-150 pickup was travelling eastbound on St. Michael’s Road when he sideswiped a Pontiac Firebird as he was attempting to pass. The driver of the Ford pickup proceeded to lose control of his truck whereupon his truck entered the ditch and rolled. The pickup driver and his passenger sustained minor injuries from the collision.
Officers spoke with the driver of the Ford pickup and noted the driver had consumed alcohol and was displaying signs that he was impaired by alcohol. He was arrested for Impaired Driving and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both readings were over the legal limit.
As a result, 22 year old Ryan ERRINGTON from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with Impaired Operation and Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for July 28, 2014 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
