POLICE CALLED TO EARLY MORNING HOUSE FIRE

(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On Thursday, July 9, 2014 at 3:19 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a house fire on Sideroad 115, north of Jackson, in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

Officers attended with Inter-Township Fire Department, Chatsworth Fire Department, Wiarton Fire Department and Grey County Emergency Services (EMS) to find the two storey farm house fully engulfed by flames.

Four people were located at the scene and taken to hospital for treatment. Three have been released from hospital. One is being air lifted to a Toronto hospital to receive care for more serious injuries.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office is assisting with the investigation, which is in its early stages.
