On Monday, August 6, 2018 at approximately 10:19 a.m., officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision on Highway 10 between Charleston Sideroad and Olde Base Line Road.
The collision involved a passenger vehicle travelling northbound and a tractor trailer travelling northbound. The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to a trauma centre by Ornge with serious injuries. Further, Valentina PALERMO, six, of Alliston has succumbed to her injuries.
The investigation into the cause of the collision remains on-going.
