17 Year Old Caught Doing 136 in an 80

(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH SOUTH, ON) On Saturday July 05, 2014, shortly before 10 a.m. a Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol on Line 6 west of St.Marys when the officer observed a fast moving eastbound pickup truck. The speed of the pickup truck was locked in on radar at 136 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

The officer pulled over the speeding vehicle and charged the offending driver with “race a motor vehicle”, as the vehicle had been travelling at 56 km/h above the speed limit. The 17 year old female driver, a resident of Lucan Biddulph Twp will have to appear in Stratford court on August 12, 2014 to answer to this charge. Her driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and her truck was impounded for a week.
