BREAK AND ENTER RESULTS IN MALE BEING CHARGED

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment have arrested and charged a 42 year old male after police were called to a Second Avenue West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario, address.

On Sunday, July 13, 2014 at approximately 10:00 p.m., police attended the address after responding to an alarm. Upon arrival, officers observed a male being held by a concerned citizen after they observed a male running from the property.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested and charged 42 year old Michael Mourice VANTHUYNE of Norfolk County, Ontario with the following offences.

Break and Enter
Possession of break in instruments
Fail to comply with probation order
Possession of Marihuana
Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
Personating a peace officer

He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
