Several council members have the gall to state the Public should
raise funds to bring Town Hall up to fire code. The Public
pays council and staff to maintain our infrastructure, and they have
obviously failed miserably. Now they want the Public to take
over. Don’t worry, councillors will still get paid even though
they have failed massively.
It is highly insulting for council to ask the Public to fund raise
to maintain our infrastructure. We already did fund raise to
maintain our infrastructure, it’s called paying the highest tax rate
in Ontario. Next they will be telling us to fund raise to fill
the pot holes, clear the sidewalks etc.

Door upgrades are required to meet code for fire and the
estimated cost is $10,000-$11,000.
