Early this morning just after midnight, Chatham-Kent Police attended in the area of Erie Street S. in Wheatley for a single motor vehicle collision where the vehicle in question had rolled over into the ditch.
Upon police arrival, they located the driver who was the single occupant in the vehicle. During the course of their investigation, police determined that the driver’s ability to operate his vehicle was impaired due to the consumption of alcoholic beverages.
As a result, he was arrested and subsequently provided breath samples which were double the legal limit. The accused Joshua LEEMAN (32) of Amherstburg, Ontario was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in his Blood. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
