(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male motorist with a drinking and driving offence over the course of the weekend.
On the 18th of July 2014 at approximately 8:45pm, officers were conducting a RIDE check on Mountain Road near Kells Crescent in Collingwood when a male motorist at the RIDE stop was found to be under the influence of alcohol. The motorist was subjected to a roadside breath test which resulted in a ‘fail’ reading. As such he was transported to Collingwood detachment for processing.
Charged is 24 year-old Christopher RAWSON of Collingwood, he was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in blood and is to appear in Collingwood court on the 29th of July 2014.
