OPP SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IN LOCATING MISSING MALE

(Municipality of Trent Hills, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a 49 year old male missing from the Trent Hills area.

On July 21, 2014 at approximately 2:35 pm, officers from Campbellford Detachment of the OPP were called to the 14th Line of Seymour with a report of a missing 49 year old male.

Investigating officers were advised that 49 year old Mike McREE of Seymour Township had been at a friend’s home on Sunday July 20, and had left on foot for home at around 10:30pm.

On Monday July 21, he failed to show for work and a check of his home on the 14th Line in Seymour revealed he had not returned home. Attempts to contact the male have been unsuccessful.

Mike McREE is described as 5’9” weighing 150 lbs, with a slim build. Short brown curly hair, and a moustache. He was last seen wearing a red lumber jacket, jeans and construction boots.

The OPP are continuing their efforts to locate the male. Members of the Northumberland Detachment, are being assisted by the Central Region OPP Emergency Response Team and the Central Region OPP Canine Unit.

The OPP are requesting the assistance of the public in locating this missing person, and are asking that if anyone sees him or knows of his whereabouts to please call ‘911’ immediately. Or contact Northumberland OPP at (613)475 1313. Foul play is not suspected, police are concerned for his safety due to his uncharacteristic disappearance.
