PERSONAL INJURY COLLISION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment continues to investigate a personal injury collision at the intersection of Fertilizer Road and Wilson Av, Norfolk County, ON.

Today, Wednesday July 23rd, 2014 at approximately 2:20 pm Norfolk County Emergency Services responded to a two vehicle collision involving a passenger car and a self-propelled fertilizer spreader where the drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation has revealed that a red Buick passenger car being operated by 78 year old Theresa WIRTH of Norfolk County, ON was eastbound on Wilson Av when it entered the intersection of Fertilizer Road where it was struck by a northbound Rogator fertilizer spreader being operated by 25 year old Kevin LISABETH of Norfolk County, ON. As a result of the impact both drivers sustained non – life threatening injuries and received emergency medical aid from Norfolk County Paramedics before being transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Norfolk County Fire and Rescue also attended the scene and assisted with the injured drivers and contained a small fuel spill.

The Ministry of Environment attended the scene and conducted an investigation into the fuel spill.

Fertilizer Road and Wilson Av where closed for several hours to allow for investigation and clean-up of the collision scene.

Wilson Av is control by stop signs for both east and west bound traffic at Fertilizer Road.
