The 13th Concession Road of Tiny and area roads are fully open after emergency services succcessfully extinguished the fire. The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office has been contacted and will not be attending the scene. The investigation continues as to the cause of the blaze.
(Tiny Township, On)- Members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently assisting with traffic control and investigation alongside members of the Tiny Township, Town of Penetanguishene and Springwater Township Fire Services who are fighting a commercial structure fire on the 13th Concession of Tiny Township east of Simcoe County Road 6.
Officers have closed the 13th Concession Road east of Tiny from Simcoe County Road 6 to Timberline Court. Motorists are also requested to avoid the area of Robert Street west to Overhead Bridge Road and also Lafontaine Road East up to the 13th Concession Road of Tiny.
Fire officials activated their mutual aid program which allows for multiple fire services to attend the fire and also cover neighbouring services area in case of another fire call. Officials are asking for motorists to avoid the area this evening as they expect the fire will take some time to extinguish.
At this time the cause of the fire is under investigation and updates will be provided when the closed roads open.
