(SOUTHWEST OXFORD TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision on Plank Line at Union Road in Southwest Oxford Township which occurred on July 29, 2014 shortly after 11:30 a.m.
A southbound pickup truck on Plank Line, was slowing down to turn east onto Union Road, when he was struck from behind by a southbound tractor trailer.
The 17 year old male driver of the pickup truck was transported with non-life threatening injuries to an area hospital. The male transport truck driver received minor injuries. Oxford County EMS and Southwest Oxford Fire Department attended to assist at the scene.
Plank Line and Union Road which were closed for approximately four hours, are now re-opened for traffic in all directions.
Thomas REBURN, 21 years of age, from Flesherton was charged with Careless Driving.
