(NAPANEE, ON) – On July 30, 2014 at approximatley 6:15am, Napanee officers of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a crash on Highway 401, eastbound, near Mitchells Road, east of Highway 37, Belleville.
A tractor trailer, carrying furniture, struck the barrier and caught fire. The driver received moderate unjuries.
As a result of the crash and subsequent fire, Highway 401 eastbound is closed. Police have been advised that both eastbound lanes of the highway will need to be repaired prior to the highway reopening. Please follow detours.
