(Prince Edward County, ON)â€â€On July 30, 2014 at 9:30am the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB), Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) with the assistance of officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Prince Edward County detachment and OPP Canine executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence located on Diverbelt Drive, Picton.
OPP seized a quantity of marihuana with an approximate street value of $45,000. Police also seized related paraphernalia and cash.
Jeffery LAKOMY, 48 of Picton, ON is charged with:
Possession of Schedule III Substance, contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, contrary to Section 355(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
His wife, Mary LAKOMY, 45 of Picton, is charged with Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Both accused were held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Belleville today.
Sixty two (62) year-old Tadeusz LAKOMY (male) and 20-year old, Kristina LAKOMY, both of Ottawa, ON were charged with Possession For the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
Both were released from police custody on a Promise to Appear and Officer-In-Charge Undertaking to attend the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on August 20, 2014.
