(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On July 29, 2014 at approximately 4:00pm Quinte West OPP officers responded to a call of a shoplifter at a Trenton Grocery Store.
When police arrived on scene information was received that two young persons were observed leaving the store without paying for items. Store security attempted to stop the young persons involved in the theft and was assaulted.
The store security officer was transported to hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries.
A 15 year old Trenton male has been charged with Theft Under $5000 and Assault. The young person was released with a court date in September.
