(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On July 31, 2014 at approximately 12:45 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of an Oldsmobile Alero that was travelling on St. Andrews Street West near Colquhoun Street in Fergus, Centre Wellington Township.
Upon speaking with the driver police determined that his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by drug. The male was searched incident to arrest and a small quantity of marihuana was seized.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle impounded for seven days.
Alex KRAEMER aged 20 of Elora has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada and Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 14, 2014 to answer to the charges.
