SEVERAL CHARGES LAID AT THE EMBRO TRACTOR PULL

(EMBRO, ON.) Over the past weekend, members of Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were actively patrolling the Embro tractor pull event.

Throughout the weekend, there were nine liquor seizures, several charges laid, and two fully marked police cruisers damaged.

Charged were the following:

David MCKAY, 21 years old of Embro:

Being Intoxicated in a Public Place ~ Liquor Licence Act
Re-entering a licensed premise ~ Liquor Licence Act
Fail to Comply with Undertaking ~ Criminal Code of Canada

Mathew NUTT, 27 years old of Mitchell with:

Having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place ~ Liquor Licence Act

Michael SMITH, 19 years old of Thamesford with:

Having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place ~ Liquor Licence Act

A 17 year old male of East-Zorra Tavistock Township with:

Having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place ~ Liquor Licence Act

Gerard KRUIS, 51 years old of Brantford with:

Having liquor in open container in other than licenced premises, residence or private place ~ Liquor Licence Act

The damage to the police cruisers is estimated at approximately $1,000, and the investigation is continuing.
