(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On August 6th, 2014 at approximately 10:00am Quinte West OPP, along with Quinte West Fire Department and Hasting and Prince Edward County EMS responded to Tate Rd in Quinte West for the report of a motor vehicle that had been involved in a collision with a train.
When police arrived on scene it was determined that a 29 year old Quinte West male was pronounced dead at the scene.
Tate Rd was closed for several hours while emergency crews and CN Railway cleared the tracks, train traffic was also halted while emergency crews worked.
The investigation is continuing and foul play is not suspected. There were no other injuries reported.
