(CENTRAL ELGIN, ON) – Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a serious collision on Sunset Road by Roberts Line in the Municipality of Central Elgin.
On August 7, 2014 at approximately 2:45 p.m. police were called to a two vehicle collision involving a large tractor and motorcycle. Both occupants on the motorcycle were transported to hospital, one by ambulance and one was airlifted.
Police currently have Sunset Drive closed between Roberts Line and Sparta Line as they complete their investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
Information was received that there were a number of witnesses in the area when the collision occurred. Anyone with information in regards to the collision is asked to call Elgin County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
