(Ottawa) The Ottawa Police Service is investigating a fatal collision involving a single vehicle, a motorcycle at the intersection of Strandherd Dr. and Jockvale Rd. in Barrhaven. Ottawa Police were called to the location at 9:47 p.m. this evening for a report of a motorcycle that had been travelling on Strandherd Dr. when the rider, a 24-year-old Ottawa man appeared to lose control. The rider was thrown from the bike and sustained fatal injuries. The collision is under investigation by the Collision Investigation Unit and road closures remain in effect. The identity of the deceased man is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
