(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 24 year old woman for an impaired driving offence following a report of a single motor vehicle collision on Norman Drive in the City of Kenora.
On Thursday August 7, 2014 shortly after 3:30 am, police were notified there was a vehicle on it’s roof on Norman Drive. Police attended and located the vehicle. Shortly after, a female identified as the driver was located. Police determined the female had been consuming alcohol. She was arrested and transported for further tests.
As a result of this investigation, Chelsea WIERSEMA of Kenora, has been charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle With More than .80 mg of Alcohol in 100 ml of Blood, contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada. She is to appear in Kenora Court on September 18, 2014 to answer to the charge.
