(SOUTH HURON, ON) – On July 27, 2014 at 5:43 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a collision involving an impaired driver on Bullock Line near Grand Bend Line. A witness reported the driver of a Cadillac Deville drove off Bullock Line and collided with a tree. The witness observed the male driver drinking beer at the collision scene and promptly called police to report the collision.
Upon arrival at the scene officers observed the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and determined his ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired. He was arrested and subsequently transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests registered above the legal limit.
As a result, Timothy EAGLESON, 23, from Regina has been charged with Impaired Care & Control and Care & Control – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on September 8, 2014. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
