(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Saturday August 09, 2014, shortly before 4:30 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Perth Line 56 at Perth Road 119 in Topping.
Investigation indicated that a Toyota Camry was being driven west bound on Perth Line 56 when the driver failed to negotiate the curve in the road. The car continued straight, entering the ditch where it flipped and struck a hydro pole. The two passengers in the vehicle, an 88 year old female and a 60 year old male both residents of Hamilton were transported to local hospital with major injuries. The 35 year old male driver also from Hamilton did not sustain injuries. He has been charged with “careless drivingâ€Â.
