(BLANDFORD-BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at approximately 6:55 a.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the report of protesters at an Enbridge work site located on 17th Line in Blandford-Blenheim Township.
As a result of investigation on Sunday August, 11, 2014 four females and one male were arrested and several charges laid.
Patricia MILLS, 30 years old of Hamilton was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Obstruct Peace Officer
Mischief – Interfere with lawful use, enjoyment of operation of property – over $5,000
Disobeying Order of Court
Fail to Comply with Probation Order (2 counts)
Rachel AVERY, 25 years old of Hamilton, Wolfgang CHRAPKO, 24 years old of Guelph, Erica RATHIE, 26 years old of Guelph and David VASEY were charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Obstruct Peace Officer
Mischief – Interfere with lawful use, enjoyment of operation of property – over $5,000
Disobeying Order of Court
All were held in custody pending bail hearings.
