(Ottawa) Starting at 6:00 a.m. on Monday, August 18, 2014, at the main entrance of the Ottawa Police Station, 474 Elgin Street, the Ottawa Police Service and the Ottawa Police Service’s Liaison Committee for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans communities will be hosting a charity pancake breakfast to help kick off Capital Pride Week.
Ottawa Police Executive Members, along with various leaders in the community will be attending the flapjack-flipping event aimed at raising money for Etcetera, a for youth, by youth organization which provides key programming and events for GLBT+ youth across Ottawa.
In addition to serving breakfast, the Pride Flag will be on display at the Ottawa Police Headquarters until Monday. August 25, 2014.
This year’s pancake breakfast will be the first stop in a series of events taking place at several City of Ottawa locations throughout the day. An OC Transpo Double Decker Bus, sponsored by TD will transport participants to the other city events, culminating in a flag raising ceremony at City Hall later in the day.
