POLICE INVESTIGATING THEFT OF TRUCK BATTERIES

(BRANT COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment is reminding the public to protect their property and valuables against would be thieves after a theft was reported at a McGregor Avenue, Brant County, Ontario address.

Between Friday August 15, 2014 and Monday, August 18, 2014, unknowns attended Transpart Incorporated and damaged fencing around the property in order to gain entry into a secured compound. Once inside, unknowns removed approximately 30 used batteries from various racks located on the property.

The batteries are described as large truck batteries weighing approximately 70 pounds each.

The theft is valued at approximately $400 dollars.

Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Brant County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
