(MUNICIPALITY OF MEAFORD, ON) – On Friday, August 15, 2014 at approximately 7:47 p.m., a Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) member on patrol observed a vehicle travelling at a fast rate of speed eastbound on Grey Rd. 18 in the Municipality of Meaford. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was found to have been drinking alcohol. After failing a road side breath test, the driver was taken to the Meaford Detachment for further breath tests.
Matthew KENTNER, 40, of The Blue Mountains, Ontario was charged with driving with more than 80 milligrams of alcohol in his system. He was also charged for speeding 122 km/h in an 80 km/h zone under the Highway Traffic Act.
A court date has been scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2014 in Owen Sound.
