(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is seeking the assistance of the public in identifying an unknown vehicle after police investigated an incident at a Norfolk County Road 19 East, Townsend, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Thursday, August 21, 2014 at approximately 12:46 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned parent after a youth was followed by an unknown vehicle.
Through investigation it was determined that on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at approximately 5:15 p.m., a young female was walking in the area of Norfolk County Road 19 East, when she observed a sandy coloured Ford Taurus driving by her slowly on several occasions. The youth immediately returned home and observed the vehicle follow her and park on the street outside of the residence.
The parents were informed of what had occurred and exited the residence to speak to the driver. The vehicle subsequently fled from the area in an unknown direction.
The male driver is being described as a white, 30 to 40 years of age with a heavy build.
The Norfolk County OPP Detachment is continuing to investigate and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male and vehicle involved. If anyone has any information they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
