Two Vehicle Crash Sends One Passenger To Hospital

(MUNICIPALITY OF NORTH PERTH, ON) On Tuesday August 30, 2011 at approximately 3:45 p.m., Perth County OPP officers in Listowel were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Livingstone Ave. North and Inkerman St. West.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a Jeep Liberty had been travelling east bound on Inkerman St. W. when it collided with a Pontiac Sunfire driving north bound on Livingstone Ave North. The Sunfire had proceeded across Inkerman St. W. which is the through road. The Jeep struck the drivers side of the Sunfire pushing it onto the sidewalk at the North east corner of the intersection.

As a result of the collision, a 15 year old female passenger of the Sunfire from Howick Twp. was transported to Listowel Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver and other passenger of the Sunfire did not sustain any injuries. The driver and passenger of the Jeep, both North Perth residents were uninjured.

The 19 year old female from Howick Twp. who was driving the Sunfire has been charged with “careless driving”.
