On Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at approximately 4:30pm a lone male was walking in the area of Riverside Drive and Upper Avenue when he observed an unleashed dog walking towards him on the sidewalk. The male proceeded to approach the dog which seemed friendly. When the male went to check for a collar and tag the dog suddenly bit him on the neck and right hand. The males skin was punctured as a result. The dog then fled in an unknown direction. The dog is described as knee height, medium size, with long dark brown fur, floppy ears and a rounded snout. The dog was similar in appearance to a Shepherd, Labrador or Collie type breed.
London Police would like to speak with the owner to determine if the dog’s vaccinations are up to date.
Anyone with information is asked to contact London Police Service at 519-661-5670.
