On Friday, August 15, 2014, emergency responders were called to 1217 Southdale Road East at 8:15 p.m. in relation to an explosion and working fire.
The Arson Unit of the Criminal Investigation Division is continuing with the investigation. There was evidence of a marijuana oil extraction being conducted within the unit. There is no further danger of any chemicals regarding safety to the public. A man was seen running from the unit shortly after the explosion and has not yet been identified.
The investigation is ongoing.
