Breach of Recognizance and possession of break in instruments

On August 23, 2014 at approximately 10:00 pm the Chatham Kent Police located a male party who was known to be on court ordered conditions in the Queen Street and Gray Street area in the City of Chatham. When police attempted to stop the suspect he tried to evade officers by turning down back alleys on his bicycle. He was eventually stopped and a records check confirmed that he was breaching a curfew condition of his recognizance. As a result of this information he was arrested and during a subsequent search was found to be in possession of break and enter instruments. The accused; a 33 year old Chatham man, was transported to police headquarters where he will appear in court this morning charged with breach of recognizance and possession of break and enter tools.
